Events

DiBC Cocktail Event

On Friday, October 18th, 2024, The Brain and Sleep Medical Center partnered with Pink for Africa to host a pivotal cocktail event, shedding light on the often-overlooked connection between breast cancer and depression. This enlightening gathering brought together medical experts, survivors, and supporters to raise awareness, share personal experiences, and discuss innovative treatments.

The event aimed to break down stigmas surrounding mental health and breast cancer, encouraging open conversations about the emotional toll of the disease.

Alcoholic Anonymous Meeting

On the 10th June, 2024, we were honored to host students from the School of Public Health, University of Ghana, at our Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Their observation and engagement with our community will undoubtedly enrich their understanding of substance abuse and addiction. We believe that sharing our experiences and stories is a powerful tool for healing and growth.

World Mental Health Day Celebration

The event was graced by the Deputy Director of the Ghana Health Service, Dr. Anthony Ofosu, who expressed his delight in the initiative. He commended the Brain and Sleep Medical Centre for pioneering the first-ever dedicated helpline initiated by a private medical center to address challenges faced by individuals dealing with mental health issues.

Dr. Ofosu emphasized the importance of mental health awareness, stating that mental health concerns should be a shared concern for everyone, as many people experience various forms of mental health challenges.
